#6
One of the highlights of a trip to Yellowstone in September of 2008
was seeing the famous bull elk simply named #6. We were in Mammoth
Hot Springs standing amongst an awestruck crowd as we all watched this
majestic, powerful creature come down the hill with his harem in tow.
His trophy-sized rack was an impressive sight. Unfortunately this favorite
among tourists was found dead of a freak accident in February of this year.
Please enjoy this painting of the memorable #6.
